Early Belgian wooden advertising display for a bicycle light, dating from around 1960.
The display features a metal bicycle and chain, with Plexiglas wheels. When operational, an electric motor powered a belt mechanism that made the scenery behind the cyclist rotate while he pedalled.
The wooden structure retains its original painted lettering and mechanical elements. The piece shows signs of age and use consistent with its original use as a shop or advertising display.
The mechanism is currently not operational.
